We have three levels for our Junior FIRST LEGO League:
Schedule Junior Level I - Simple Machinery + Motorized Machinery The team will spend their JFLL season learning about simple machinery principles. They then apply their learning to build a model in response to the challenge of the season. At the end of the season, the team will showcase their work with a show-me poster board and a LEGO model at NYC JFLL Exposition. Throughout the season, we will incorporate the principles of simple machinery into how they can be used to solve real life problems. For each session the children will be building a different model to incorporate different simple machinery principle. Each team will have a specific topic of their choosing that they will focus on and further elaborate on that topic by building specific LEGO models. It could be one combined large model, or separate individual models that each pair of children will build. Creativity and Imagination will be their guide, there is no right or wrong model, anything is possible! Your students will build LEGO models featuring working motors and sensors and program their models using the LEGO Education WeDo Robotics Software (900095). When the set is combined with the WeDo Robotics Activity Pack (909580), students will explore a series of cross-curricular, theme-based activities while developing their skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, as well as language and literacy. The set contains more than 150 elements including a motor, tilt sensor, motion sensor, and LEGO USB Hub. |
