Spaces are limited, they are being filled on a first come first serve basis. Once all the spaces are filled, you will be placed on a waiting list, until a spot opens up or a new team can be formed. Early-Registration for next season 2011-2012 will begin on Jan 1, 2011, this will only be available for volunteer coaches. Coaching only requires about 2 hrs a week of commitment during the time that your child is in class, sign up here to be a coach! Forest Hills Robotics League sponsors both First Lego League (FLL) and Junior First Lego League (JFLL) teams for participation in the First tournaments. FLL (First Lego League) (Age 9-14)
The First Lego League(FLL) Season runs from September - January/March. During the season, the teams will meet weekly (on weekends) for two hours, one hour for the research project, and the other hour for their robotics games/Model Building. The FLL season concludes after the teams attend the Qualifying tournament. If the team gets qualified, then we extend the season until the championship which is in Mid March.(15 sessions till Qualifying, plus 6 more sessions if they get qualified, for a total of 21 sessions till championship, see schedule for details)
JFLL (Junior First Lego League) (Age 6-9)
The Junior FLL(JFLL) Season runs from January/March, the team meet for one hour per week on weekends (8 sessions total, see schedule for details). The JFLL team participate in the JFLL Exposition at the Javits Center in Mid March.

First Lego League
FLL team consists of a max of 8-10 kids (ages 9 -14)

Session 1: Saturday 2:00 - 4:00
Session 2: Saturday 4:00 - 6:00
(Additional sessions might be added if there are more teams)
Cost: $ 275 *per child (FLL) for 15/21 sessions
Jr. First Lego League
JFLL team consists of a max of 6 kids (ages 6 - 9)
Location: FHYAA Club House, 66-01 Fleet Street, Forest Hills, NY 11375
Meeting time: Saturday 1:00 - 2:00

Cost: $ 125 *per child (JFLL) for 8 sessions

We are a non-profit organization based on member volunteer. All our coaches and assistants are volunteers. Money collected are used to support the team for the purchase of Robots, laptops, books and any other resources needed for the team to participate in the tournaments. |
